The simple mind of a 3 year old

The other day, Ady and I ran to Ogden to run some errands, on our drive down the canyon, I asked her what kind of a cake she wanted for her birthday coming up. She proceeded to explain this American Girl cake to me, however, I wasn't getting it (or didn't want to!) So I told her when we got home to show me it, sure enough she brought this out to me (WHAT!) I love to cook and bake, however, I really don't pay to much attention to making it "look pretty", I thought I'd better try it out. We're headed to some friends house tomorrow for Super Bowl and I decided to start her week of birthday celebrating with them, so today I busted out the cake decorating materials and after a couple hours of concentration and back pains...

here's the end result. Who cares anyway what it looks like, right? It just matters how it tastes.? The whole time Ady was trying to convince me what I a good job I was doing. She's my sugar-pie.

Not only was the cake adorable it was very good too! Although I never had any doubt it would be anything less. You are an amazing cook, Ady is right about that! Thanks for letting us share it with you and the girls.
